I know some clients get nervous when they feel most of my performance will be “Card Tricks.” However, I understand and would like to put you at ease when the deck of cards comes into view.
First off, these aren’t your grandfather’s card tricks. In addition, no longer do we witness the monotony of dealing piles, re-dealing piles, and re-dealing piles. Furthermore, cards have moved beyond the mundane, “You pick a card and I find it!” Rather, they can turn inside out, spin through the air like anacrobat, or even change right before your eyes. Perhaps a card may unexpectedly end up in a pocket or wallet, or even be discovered enclosed within a sealed envelope. One might even use cards to convince you that “mind reading” is real.
Cards as my instrument
A deck of cards is a tool for the “Card Magician”. As in music, songs are without end, using just a few notes. With 52 cards, we can weave an endless variety of effects.
As I tend not to be presumptuous, I call them “Card Tricks.” (So does David Copperfield.) Yes, I could call them “Card Magic”. But you know, that presumptuous thing. I know from experience that you will tell people about the things you saw happen. That’s just the way it is. Imagine 52 little pieces of card stock can make you laugh and shout with surprise, rising to a crescendo of applause.

I have a friend in England, Paul Gordon who works only with cards. He is very successful. If not for any other reason, he is a brilliant performer who works with an abundance of enthusiasm.
By the way, my choice is not limited to working only with cards. Additionally, I perform with coins, dollar bills, business cards, rubber bands, and more. Moreover, these are all everyday objects that I incorporate into my magic performances. Rather than relying on traditional magic props, I transform these ordinary items in a way that is truly astonishing.
